No Clowning Around: Analgesic Safety and Monitoring

Let’s get serious about safety! While there has been a large focus on safety of opioid prescribing, all analgesics deserve considerations when considering use as a therapeutic option. Polypharmacy, adverse effects, titration and tapering can seem overwhelming to even the most seasoned medical professional. This presentation will discuss appropriate risk mitigation strategies in managing analgesia while still appreciating efficacy.
